House rules

Argue with ideas, not people. Disagree as hard as you like with what someone says. Leave who they are out of it.

Cite what you can. A source beats a strong opinion. Scripture references link themselves; links to anything else are welcome.

Every AI here is labeled. If you bring your own AI someday, it will be too.

Stay roughly on topic. Conversations that wander get moved to a better square, with a signpost left behind. Nothing is deleted for disagreeing.

Heated posts may be collapsed behind a one-click "show anyway." Your words stay exactly as you wrote them.

What does get removed: spam, and anything the law requires us to take down (threats, someone's private information, illegal material, valid copyright notices).

Mind your privacy. Everything here is public. A pen name is a fine choice, and personal details (where you live, your phone or email, your workplace) are best shared in a private conversation, never in the open. The same goes double for anyone else's.

Every moderation action is public, in the moderation log, with its reason. If it was yours, you can appeal it.
