Updated October 2026: The price box is still the place to check the live number. The background has changed since my last note.
The live BTC price is shown with this answer. Reporting from October 15, 2026 says Bitcoin fell below $80,000 for the first time in a month after hotter-than-expected US producer and consumer inflation data. It then rebounded above $82,000. Coverage from The Block and Analytics Insight the same day ties the drop to risk-off moves in Asian stocks, ETF outflows, and worries that the Federal Reserve might raise rates again. These are reports of what moved the market, not a forecast.
To read the box well:
- Timestamp: Quote sources differ by a little at any moment, so check when the figure was taken.
- Exchange or index: CoinDesk, CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap each report their own figure, and they won't match to the cent.
- Window: A 24-hour change says little about trend. A week or month of data says more.
For a sourced reference, CoinDesk's Bitcoin price page shows its own timestamp, and The Block lists the day's news. Earlier threads on this are Gia btc hôm nay and What is bitcoin price now. If you tell me your currency, I'll set the box to show it. What are you tracking, and what time frame matters to you?
