For a Tacoma, the main constraint is space. The engine bay is tight, so most installs put the horns at the spare-tire location and the tank and compressor in the bed or a bed toolbox. I searched for recent installs and kit reviews. Most of what I found comes from sellers' own install pages, so treat the claims as the sellers' and check them against owners' reports.
Three options that appear in Tacoma installs:
- HornBlasters 2-Chime 3-Liter Air Horn Kit: The most compact option in these results. It has a 3-liter tank, a stated 35-second refill from 90 to 120 PSI, and an 18-amp maximum draw on 12-volt. Joel's 2021 Tacoma install is on HornBlasters' site.
- HornBlasters Conductor's Special 544K: Louder and longer-lasting, with a 5-gallon tank and a stated 10–12 seconds of horn time. Jeremy's 2016 Tacoma mounted the horns in the spare-tire location and ran a regulator to protect them.
- Flatlaw 127H kit: A budget mini horn in a weather-sealed kit with a 120 PSI air system. It's been installed on a 2015 Tacoma X-Runner, according to the Train Horn Forums install post.
My pick for a daily-driven off-roader is the 3-liter kit: it fits tight spaces and draws less current. If you want maximum volume, the 5-gallon kit is the better choice. Before drilling, check the spare-tire bracket clearance and the bumper fit, especially on a TRD Pro. Wire the compressor to a fused circuit and check your alternator's capacity. If you're unsure about the electrical work, have an auto electrician do it.
Which Tacoma generation do you have, and where do you plan to mount the horns?
What's the loudest horn option for a 2020 Toyota Tacoma TRD?
Among what I could find, the loudest options are the multi-trumpet kits. But the numbers come from sellers, so treat them as claims.
A correction first: in my earlier reply I cited a Flatlaw 127H install on a 2015 X-Runner from Train Horn Forums. I can't confirm that link or its details from today's results, so please treat it as unverified.
- Kleinn Demon 730 triple train horn with 6450RC compressor: Kleinn lists it at 157.8 dB, the highest figure I found. It's sold as a direct-fit kit for 2016–2023 Tacomas. The dB rating is the maker's own and doesn't say how far away it was measured.
- HornBlasters Conductor's Special 544K Nightmare Edition: Jeremy's 2016 Tacoma install uses Shocker XL horns on a 5-gallon tank. A regulator caps horn pressure at 150 PSI, and HornBlasters gives 10–12 seconds of horn time.
- Kleinn Beast 230 with 6350RC compressor: 153.3 dB by the maker's figure, a step below the Demon.
Louder almost always means a bigger tank and compressor, so space and wiring will limit you more than the horns will. HornBlasters sells a Goliath bracket that mounts in the spare-tire location for Tacomas. Its listing covers 2014–2023 models, though the URL says 2014–2018, so confirm the fit before ordering.
Laws vary. A Tacomaworld member said he got an excessive-noise ticket in California and Florida. That's one anecdote, so check your local rules.
If anyone has run one of these on a 2020 or newer Tacoma, real-world dB readings at a set distance would help a lot.

Can you provide prices and links to all of the products in this thread?
Here's what I could confirm. These come from search results rather than live pages, and prices change often, so check before buying.
- HornBlasters Conductor's Special 544K (5-gallon, Shocker XL horns): $1,049.98 on HornBlasters' own page, with 147.7 dB listed by sellers. Some retailers show higher prices. HornBlasters' product page
- Kleinn HK9-Slimline (Demon 730 horns, 3-gallon tank): $1,149.95 on Kleinn's site. The smaller tank may suit your space limits better than the 5-gallon kit.
- Kleinn HK9 (Demon 730 horns, 5-gallon tank, 6450RC compressor): $1,196.95 on Kleinn's site, with a black version listed at $1,061.95. Kleinn's HK9 page
A correction to my last reply: the 157.8 dB figure for the Demon 730 comes from a retailer listing that says it requires the Ultra BlastMaster #6890 upgrade, which is sold separately. The horns alone are about $499.95 at several retailers, including Summit Racing. Treat the 157.8 dB as a figure for the upgraded setup, not the base horn.
I couldn't get reliable prices or pages for the rest. I didn't find a price or product page for the HornBlasters 3-liter 2-chime kit, the Goliath bracket, or the Kleinn Beast 230 kit. One retailer lists a "Beast 230" horn at $249.95, but it's unclear whether that's a complete kit. I also couldn't confirm the Flatlaw 127H install I cited earlier, so I've left it out.
If you tell me your budget and whether the horns will sit in the spare-tire location or the bed, I can narrow this down. Anyone who has bought one of these recently, please share the price you paid.

What about the kits on this site (2 pages): hornblasters.com/collections/complete-kits
Are there any of these that you'd recommend for a 2020 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road?
I couldn't open the HornBlasters complete-kits page in full. My search returned only parts of it, so I can't rank all of its listings across both pages. From what I could check, these fit a 2020 Tacoma TRD Off-Road best:
- 2-Chime 3-Liter Air Horn Kit: The most compact kit I found. Joel's 2021 Tacoma install is the closest Tacoma example, with an 18-amp maximum draw and a stated 35-second refill from 90 to 120 PSI. Those are the seller's figures, not independent tests.
- Conductor's Special 232 Spare Tire Delete Kit: HornBlasters built this for Tacomas. Andrew's 2019 Tacoma install shows it replacing the spare, with a 2-gallon tank and 150 PSI operating pressure. On an off-road truck, losing the spare is a real trade-off, so weigh that before choosing it.
- Goliath bracket: This is a mount, not a horn. HornBlasters lists it at $665.99 for spare-tire-location mounting. Its title says 2014 to 2023 Tacomas, but its URL says 2014 to 2018, so ask them to confirm a 2020 fit.
My pick for a daily-driven TRD Off-Road is the 3-liter 2-chime kit, since it keeps the spare and takes less space. I couldn't confirm a 2020-specific fit for any of these, and the prices I saw came from pages that may be out of date. Check current prices and fit with HornBlasters before ordering. If anyone has installed one of these on a 2020 or newer TRD Off-Road, tell us where the tank went and whether you kept the spare.

Here are the two pages - try both of these links:
hornblasters.com/collections/complete-kits?page=1
hornblasters.com/collections/complete-kits?page=2
I could only see partial, cached copies of the two HornBlasters pages, so I can't give you a complete or verified list, and the prices below may be out of date.
On page 2, most listings are 24-volt or very large systems that won't suit a 12-volt Tacoma. The 12-volt kits I could see that might fit are:
- Octohorn 544K Train Horn Kit: listed around $1,299.99 on sale. It's a big multi-horn system, so check the tank and compressor against your space.
- Bandit Air Horn Kit: listed around $349.99. It's a lower-cost air horn, not a train horn, and I couldn't confirm its tank size or fit.
- Safety Horn Air Horn Kit: listed around $479.99, with no size or fit details in what I could read.
Page 1 didn't come through, so I can't rank it. It may include the 2-Chime 3-Liter kit I recommended earlier, but I still can't confirm a 2020 TRD Off-Road fit for it.
Two corrections. I can't reopen the page behind my earlier claim that Andrew's 2019 install used the Spare Tire Delete kit, so treat that as unverified. Also, the 2-Chime 3-Liter page gives 7 to 9 seconds of honk time at operating pressure, which doesn't match the 35-second figure I cited. That 35 seconds is a refill time, so check both numbers on the spec sheet.
For a Tacoma-specific option, RealTruck's 2020 Toyota Tacoma horn page lists Kleinn kits, with ProBlaster compact air horn kits from $299.95. That's a retailer listing, and I haven't checked the fit.
Confirm prices and fit with the seller before you buy. Has anyone bought from these pages recently? Which horn did you choose, and did it fit a 2020 TRD Off-Road?

Can you list the prices and product links for all of the products listed in this thread that are less that $500?
Only one item from this thread is clearly under $500, and it's a horn, not a complete kit.
- Kleinn Demon 730 horn (base, no upgrade): $499.95 at several retailers, according to the search results I saw earlier. Summit Racing lists it at Summit Racing. That's the horn alone. The 157.8 dB figure needs the Ultra BlastMaster #6890 upgrade, which is sold separately, and you'd also need a compressor and tank to run it.
The others either cost more or I couldn't confirm a price:
- Kleinn Beast 230: One retailer lists a "Beast 230" horn at $249.95, but I can't tell whether that's a complete kit or just the horn, so don't count it until you've checked.
- HornBlasters 2-Chime 3-Liter kit: I found no reliable price or product page.
- HornBlasters Conductor's Special 232: No price found.
- Goliath bracket: $665.99, so it's over your limit.
- Kleinn HK9-Slimline, HK9 and HornBlasters Conductor's Special 544K: All over $500.
The prices I saw came from search results, not live pages, so they may be out of date. Check HornBlasters' complete-kits page directly, since that's where the 3-liter kit, the most likely fit for your truck, should be listed. Anyone who has bought one of these recently, please share what you paid.
