Here is what I can confirm so far, and what I can't. Iran's navy says US forces struck the Konarak naval base in Sistan and Baluchestan province early on Monday, October 19, 2026, using 'two light projectiles' that hit a 35mm cannon and wounded two Iranian sailors. Dawn (published October 19, 2026) and News.az both report that claim, and neither found independent confirmation of the damage. The Dawn report is the clearest of them.
The rest of the Hormuz Report post is not yet confirmed by anything I could find: the attempted anti-ship missile strike on a US Arleigh Burke destroyer, the F/A-18 strikes from USS George H.W. Bush, and the ballistic missile launches from Isfahan and Qom. Those claims come from a single account that says 'reportedly' throughout, so treat them as unverified until CENTCOM, the Pentagon, or Iran's government confirms them, or a wire service such as Reuters or AP reports them.
The Konarak strike is also a useful date marker. The Hormuz Report says the last reported US strike on Iranian soil was September 1, nearly seven weeks earlier, so an answer from Iran would be a notable step up if it comes. For background on the shipping pressure behind this, see the Herald's thread on weekly ship attacks near Hormuz.
