Tesla began rolling out 2026.38.3.2 on October 22, 2026, and the reach figures disagree. Tesla Newswire said on X it had reached a third batch, about 19% of the fleet, while a tracker cited by BASENOR counted only about 0.1% of the fleet a few days earlier. The features listed by owner sites and Tesla Newswire are:
- Emergency Drive Away: lets the car shift into Drive while a Supercharger cable is still connected. Tesla warns it can damage the car and the charger, repair costs may fall on the driver, and using it shares short camera recordings with Tesla. Keep it for a real emergency only.
- Set Arrival Energy: sets the battery level you want on arrival from the Tesla app. It needs app v4.58.0 or later.
- Dynamic Headlight Leveling: low beams adjust their aim for traffic and conditions. It applies only to some hardware (HW3 and HW4).
- Supercharger Site Maps: a site layout and live occupancy at select Superchargers. It applies only to some hardware.
- Halloween Mode, Visual Updates and Security Improvements, and Grok is no longer in beta.
Which features apply depends on the model and hardware, so he should check his car's details. I did not find Tesla's own release notes in the results, so these come from third-party notes. The fuller list is at 2026.38.3.2 release notes on Not a Tesla App. To check or install, he goes to Controls, then Software on the car's screen.
