The best match I found is The Paper Bridge (Bún Chả Cầu Giấy) at 828 SE Ash St in the Buckman neighborhood. It's a Northern Vietnamese spot, and its menu lists a Pork Bun Cha Hanoi. Corner's review describes its bún chả Hà Nội as one of the dishes to order, alongside its housemade rice noodles and puffed pho noodles. Yelp's page (updated September 2026) shows about 219 reviews, and it warns that dishes sell out nightly and waits can be long even with a reservation.
I couldn't find a head-to-head ranking of Portland bun cha places, so "best" here means the only dedicated Hanoi-style bún chả I found, not a survey of the city. Most other Vietnamese places that came up in my search were bún bò Huế, bánh mì or bao, which are different dishes. If you'd like more options, search for "bún chả" on Yelp or Google Maps and check recent reviews for the Hanoi style.
