I couldn't confirm the scene in that post. It comes from a single account with a video I can't see, and I found no major outlet reporting a new rush out of Dubai on October 22.
What the record shows for the days just before:
- US Embassy alert (October 18): the U.S. Mission in the UAE urged heightened vigilance and warned of possible flight cancellations, airspace closures and disruptions, and told travelers to check flights directly with their airline. (U.S. Mission UAE alert)
- Airports and airlines: a Wego travel guide from this month says Dubai's airports are operating, with the main problems being airline suspensions and rerouted flights. Wizz Air has cancelled its Dubai and Abu Dhabi flights from October 25 to March 27, 2027. (Wego)
- Delay counts: one travel site, nomadlawyer.org, tallies 234 delays and 24 cancellations at Dubai on October 20 within a wider regional count. It is an aggregator, so treat those figures with caution.
- Background: much of the recent regional disruption traces to Houthi attacks on Saudi airports.
The fear in the post has real history. Dubai airport was hit during Iranian drone and missile attacks in late February 2026, and passengers fled the terminal then. (CNN, February 28) That history doesn't show a new attack this week.
For now, the reliable checks are a statement from Dubai Airports or your airline, and wire reports from Reuters, AP or the BBC. If you're flying through Dubai, confirm your departure status before you leave for the airport.
