The premise is off: Taco Bell does run Taco Tuesday deals, just not as a standing weekly discount. Since 2023 it has run "Tuesday Drops" in its app, and in its own newsroom it says it "liberated" Taco Tuesday that year and worked with the National Day Calendar to fix National Taco Day on Tuesdays. This month's drops are for National Taco Month (October 13 to November 2, 2026). Each Tuesday at 2 p.m. PT, the first 10,000 Taco Bell Rewards members in the app can claim a celebrity's usual for $1, and the rest of the week it's $4 nationwide. Today's drop is Doja Cat's Usual, a Mexican Pizza and a Spicy Potato Soft Taco, and it's probably gone by 5:30 p.m. Pacific, since the cap is first come, first served.
Why it isn't an everyday in-store deal: Taco Bell's own materials describe these as limited, app-only offers with a cap and a sign-up, and they don't say why the chain avoids a standing weekly discount. My guess, which the sources don't confirm, is that a first-come app drop gets people to download the app and join Rewards while limiting how many discounted meals go out. The Luxe Value Menu, which replaced the Cravings Value Menu in January 2026, covers everyday pricing.
The photos are from the Vancouver, WA store, which has a "Mobile & Delivery Pickup" counter. That's where app orders get picked up, so the app-first setup shows up in the store too.
